Mother's & Father's Day!

Adam & I are pretty lucky to be parents to our wonderful little boy Jackson. He makes us laugh and warms our hearts with his sweetness, he is silly and wonderful and the perfect addition to our family! When it comes to celebrating a day of being parents to this little guy it's pretty easy to see why it's such a celebration! I try to make Father's Day special for Adam and he does the same for me on Mother's Day.

I can't imagine anyone else being the Father of my children and I know no one could do as good a job as Adam does. He is a wonderful Father always hands on and has helped me every step of the way with raising Jackson. Jackson looks up to him and he is very much a Daddy's boy right now. He gets so excited when Daddy comes home and runs to the door yelling Dada. I love my boys!!

Here are some pictures from Mother's Day...

Grandparents are GREAT!

Jackson has gotten the opportunity to spend a lot of quality time with his grandparents lately and he his having a great time with them! Jackson really lucked out, he has two very wonderful sets of grandparents and a wonderful set of great grandparents who all think he is pretty wonderful! Adam and I feel very fortunate that we have such great parents and grandparents who love Jackson and love spending time with him!

Jackson spent a long weekend with Grammy and Pawpaw recently while we took a vacation to Galveston. He had a blast being spoiled at their house! He also got to see his great grandparents Nanny and Pop and his Uncle David and Aunt Abi. We love that he gets to spend time with them and that Mom and Dad get a nice break. He is really starting to form a wonderful bond with each of them and his face lights every time he gets to see them. He is starting to learn their names and it is adorable. I'm really lucky that I got such great in-laws who love me and my family so much! Here are some pictures of Jackson's quality time with the Hueskes...

Lots of silliness goes on!

There is a lot to do at Grammy's house she has a lot of fun toys!

Jackson also got to spend a weekend with Honey and Hobby recently. My Mom called me up and requested to keep Jack for the weekend. Adam and I enjoyed a date weekend and Jackson had tons of fun playing at their house. He also got to play with his cousins Katy, Travis and Emily and see Aunt Heather and Uncle Josh.  He is so cute playing with his cousin Emily, she is only 2 months older and they have fun together but they also tend to try to steal each others toys, which is quite humorous to watch. Jackson also likes being one of the boys with Travis and Travis is enjoying having a boy cousin to play with. Watching Jackson's relationships grow with each of these people just warms my heart! Have I said yet how lucky Adam and I are to call these people our family, I believe we hit the Jackpot!! Here are some pictures of Jackson's visit to Honey and Hobby's house...

Recently we went to Brenham for Adam's 10 year high school reunion. It wasn't nearly as big as mine considering there were only 5 people in his class but they did have perfect attendance, all 5 showed up! I was the only non BCA person but I had a lot of fun hanging out with the class of '03. We went to the Carrier's house and had overnight pool party and the next day a play date so we could meet the kids. It was a great weekend and Jackson had fun hanging out with Grammy and Nanny while we were at the reunion Friday night. Here are a few pictures...

I'm going to do a combined post of Father's Day and Mother's Day soon. I was sad I never did one for Mother's Day and I have some really great pictures. Have a great day!

Sunny Days

I know it's been forever since I've updated the blog but we have been having too much fun enjoying the beautiful sunshine! Ever since the weather has gotten warm our family is starting to spend most of our time outside. If Jackson had his way we would never come inside, in fact most of the time when we bring him in he cries at the door to go back outside.

I'll try to catch you up on what we've been up to the past month. I'll start with our cousins trip to the Waco Zoo last month. We met up with Honey and my sister and sister-in-law and all the cousins in Waco and went to the zoo together. Jackson had a blast looking at all the animals with his cousins. We even got a chance to visit Aunt Abi while we were in Waco and we had fun seeing her too! Here are some pictures from the day...

Jackson didn't want to ride in the stroller he wanted to walk like his big cousins

looking at the alligators

We spent a lot of time sliding down this slide while the otters played on top

Here comes cousin Emily

Jackson thought he was pretty cool

We also went to the Art's Festival downtown, we go every year and it's always fun...

My little sweetie!

He had fun running around with Dad

He really liked his balloon sword

We also went to a petting zoo in the Chick-Fil-A parking lot. Jackson was one of the only kids because it was freezing cold that day.

He was so excited about being up close with the animals

Petting the sheep, one of his favorite animal noises he likes to make right now

Besides all those fun activities we have been spending a lot of time at the park and in the back yard playing.  Now that its hot enough we made our first trip to the neighborhood pool and I think we will be making many more of those in our future. Here are some pictures from all the fun...

Jackson in his swim suit and flip flops, he is not so sure about flip flops

Trigger thought we got out the pool for him

We had Luke, Allyson and Robert over for dinner, Jackson had fun playing with Luke

I'm going to try to get one more post in this week about the fabulous Mother's Day I had but no guarantees because it's going to be a very busy week. We are leaving for Galveston on Thursday for a little vacation and I have a lot of preparing I need to do before we leave! I hope everyone had a great weekend!
