Jackson's First Christmas

We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas with Jackson this year, he made everything extra special. We enjoyed the extended stays with our families and having some quality time to visit with everyone. We started off with a small Christmas as a family before we went home, Jackson didn't get too many gifts from us because he has a ton of toys already and we knew he would be getting a lot from everyone else.

Trigger and Jackson checking out their gifts, Jack got a remote, his dog lovie Spunky. a nativity scene and a couple books

Trigger with his Christmas present

Jackson was pretty excited about getting his own remote

After Christmas with our little family was over, Jackson headed off to bed and Adam & I stayed up late wrapping presents and getting ready to head to Brenham the next day.

Jackson driving us to Brenham, poor little man was feeling pretty sick so he rode in his pjs

When we got to Brenham we left Jack with Grammy and PawPaw and we got to enjoy a nice date. Adam and I hadn't been to the movies in over a year so we decided dinner and a movie would make a perfect date! The next morning it was time for Jackson to finally meet his cow GG aka Great Granny...

Pop pointing out GG to Jack

you can't meet your cow without a cowboy hat!

Jackson had fun looking at the cows with Pop

Jackson really enjoyed meeting his cow with Pop. We also got a chance to drive through a live nativity scene and Jackson loved the sheep, he loves all the animals and gets so excited. Later that day we headed to the Christmas Eve Service.

The next morning Jackson must have been excited about Christmas because he woke up bright and early. Adam and I were excited to have our first Christmas with Jackson.

First Christmas together!!

Unwrapping lots of Christmas presents

I'm pretty sure this car was one of his favorite presents!!

Enjoying Christmas lunch

After all the fun at the Hueske Christmas it was time to head over to College Station and enjoy Christmas with the Cox family.

It's pretty crazy with 5 kids running around on Christmas

Jackson and Emily had fun playing in Uncle Josh's cooler

My mom gives all the grandkids Christmas pjs and she wanted a picture, we tried and tried to get a good picture of them together but they just weren't having it

It was a very wonderful Christmas and we are so blessed to have such wonderful families to celebrate with!! We missed having a white Christmas in Fort Worth but luckily when we got home there was still some snow left for us to enjoy!!

We got so many wonderful Christmas Cards this year! We are so happy to have each and everyone of you in our lives!!

One Month Shy Of A Year - 11 Months!!

I say it time and time again as each month goes by, but seriously how did my boy grow up so fast! I feel like I blinked and now he is almost one. Don't get me wrong, I remember the early sleepless nights, the sweet cuddles when he was so young, and watching all his many first but I just can't get over how fast it is all going by. First Birthday preparations are well under way and we are about to celebrate our first Christmas, there is a lot of excitement going on around these parts!!

This month I really feel like our little baby has become a little boy! He loves to dance, anytime you turn on music he starts dancing and it is very adorable! He points at everything and he wants you to bring him there and tell him what it is. He also does a similar pointing to tell you when he wants something, like your food! He has learned a couple new words this month like duck (he points to the duck on his book and says duck), uh-oh, which he just started saying today, and bye bye. He still loves to wave hello and goodbye and he waves at people everywhere we go. He is a problem solver, when the ornaments on the tree were too high to reach he pushed a toy over so he could reach them. He isn't walking yet but he has stood on his own several times. He could start tomorrow or it could be a while, hard to tell. He is always on the go, playing with his toys and getting into trouble, no matter how many times I think I have this house baby proofed he proves me wrong! We can't imagine life without our little man and we love him so much, I am going to cherish this last month before my little guy turns one!! Here are his likes and dislikes for the month...

Here are a few pictures of what Jackson has been up to:

(Opening an early Christmas present from Mike & Katie!)

(Working on his new mower!)

(Using his table to help him reach higher ornaments!)

(Getting all cleaned up and having some fun in his duck tub!)

(He insisted on bringing Spunky to breakfast!)

As you can see we have been keeping plenty busy around here!  Every single day brings new excitement and adventures!  Jackson keeps us on our toes and puts smiles on our faces!  He is absorbing knowledge like a sponge and is eager to learn and experiment with everything.

I am going to have to cut this post short so that we can finish wrapping presents and getting ready for our trip home for Christmas.  We are headed to Brenham in the morning and then on to College Station after that.  I am sure that we will have lots of good pictures and stories to share after celebrating Christmas with our amazing families!

Of course before I go, here are a few more pictures from Jackson's 11 month photo shoot:

Merry Christmas!!!

Jingle, Jingle - Christmas Happenings

Christmas is my favorite time of year and it's even better this year experiencing it with Jackson. We've been busy around our house getting into the Christmas Spirit. Here are some pictures of how we are enjoying this holiday season...

Jackson thought the tree in the house was pretty interesting

Jackson's First Christmas Tree!!

Jackson helping get out all the Christmas decorations

We met up with Blake and Emily downtown for lunch and a visit with Santa

Waiting in line to meet Santa

He was not thrilled about meeting Santa, cried the entire time

He is always trying to steal ornaments off the tree and finding clever ways to get to them

If only I could reach a little higher

taking a break from terrorizing the Christmas Tree to play tug a war with Trigger

We let Jackson open one Christmas present early

He got his own manger scene to play with!

he mostly just dumps it over, all boy this one

and we set it back up and he chews on the donkey, very silly boy!

He has his very own Christmas Tree, he mostly just takes the ornaments off and puts them in his toy box. Thanks Hayley for finishing our trees!!

As you can see we have been busy celebrating this wonderful season. We also went to Logan's Birthday party this past weekend and that was a lot of fun! As usual I have stolen these pictures from my friend Chelsea's blog!

Jackson being a ladies man hanging out with Parker and Hattie

Chelsea and Hayley, love these girls we always have the best time together but we are missing Kimba in this picture!

Stroller Strides Girls with their boys

I hope everyone is getting into the Christmas Spirit as much as we are!! Today I will leave you with a picture of my boy being very silly!!
