One Little Monkey

We've got quite the little monkey on our hands today, seems like every time I turn around our monkey has climbed up on something new. It started this morning with the window, I knew something was up when it had gotten far too quite in the house...

He turned this chair around and then climbed up

VICTORY!! He had to make a short leap from the chair to the window

Shortly after having his fun in the window he moved on to the front of the house. I heard a bunch of noise and this is what I found...

He decided pushing this down the hallway would be fun, very thankful he didn't break anything!

We left to run some errands and eat lunch with Dad but as soon as we got back his tricks continued. First I found him like this...

So proud of himself

I said the other day to Adam we are in trouble because he is about to learn how to climb into those chairs and then he will be on the table, well that day has come folks...

hmmmm wonder what else I could get to...

and there you have it he made it all the way up to the table

He also found a new fun place to lounge and drink his afternoon milk...

The life of a toddler, it's rough

I find his new milk drinking spot to be pretty adorable!

Don't worry folks Mom is always right there behind him to try and make sure our little Monkey stays safe! He is really keeping me on my toes these days. Right now he is napping but I can only imagine what he will try when he gets up with new energy!

I had a wonderful Birthday this weekend thanks to my wonderful boys!! I got pancakes and bacon for breakfast, a manicure and pedicure, a picnic in the park with my boys and a fabulous date night with my hubby, it was a fabulous Birthday!

He loved my Birthday Balloon

Grammy and PawPaw came to stay with Jack while Adam surprised  me with a wonderful overnight stay in downtown Fort Worth

Today i'll leave with Jackson's other new obsession, his ball.  He spotted it today when we were out running errands and has barely put it down. The whole time in the car he held his ball tightly and when we picked Dad up for lunch he showed him proudly.

He really loves his new ball

You can tell in this picture he is saying ball

A Few of my Favorite Things

Here are a few of my favorite things about Jack right now...

1. Head Kisses - I don't know where he got it from but it's absolutely the sweetest possible thing. When Jackson wants to give you a kiss he leans his head in and gives you this silly look and he wants you to lean your head in and touch foreheads with him. I love every little head kiss I have had the privilege to receive from my little dude!

Giving Momma a head kiss, love!

2. Jackson's Jig - His dancing cracks me up every time, you have to stop and watch when he starts doing his little jig. The kid loves to dance you turn on music and he starts to move his feet in this very fast paced little way, it's wonderful.

Jackson's signature feet shuffle!

3. Jibber Jabber - He has several words that he knows, currently his favorite is ball. What cracks me up is his gibberish. He speaks full sentences that include hand motions and then looks at you with such expectation but I have no idea what he is talking about. I love it, he has such a personality.

He has a lot of important stuff to talk about!

4. His love for Wheel of Fortune - When we turn it on and he hears the music he runs as fast as he can into the living room to watch. I think what he loves about it is the clapping, he gets so excited and claps and claps it's so cute and funny.

He is so excited, it's so funny to watch him

Oh the clapping, I love the clapping, we really need a video but we can never get a good one

5. The Head Wave - He puts his hand on his forehead says hi and waves, hilarious

I love that head wave!

I love Jackson's personality, he is a real character always cracking us up. This age has been tons of fun, almost all signs of the baby he once was are gone but now we have this hilarious little toddler. Life with Jack is never dull and he keeps me on my toes. We really love our little goof ball. Here are a few more pictures of our adorable little toddler...

He thinks it's funny to put the bucket on his head and talk

He really wants to be helpful

Sweet Tate, This is from last week when I was taking care of him

His favorite spot in the kitchen

We had the newly weds over for dinner, Jace did pretty good holding Tate

Jackson hanging out with Uncle Blake and Tate, we had such a great time having everyone over for dinner

Jackson got another hair cut, he wasn't such a fan this time

Alright two more things before I end this post, First Happy Birthday Uncle Blake!!!!

You've always been a top-notch Uncle to Jack and a wonderful cousin to us!!

Secondly, I'm turning 29 this Saturday, yikes I can't believe this is my last year in my twenties!!!!! I hope everyone has a splendid day!

Easter

Heading home for Easter wasn't exactly the plan but I sure am glad it worked out that way. I had a mud run planned this weekend but when I found out it was scheduled the same day as my nephew's Birthday party we changed our plans. I have never missed one of their parties and I don't plan on starting, I really love those kids!! It turned out a little family time was exactly what Adam and I needed, it's funny how God works like that. It's been pretty rough around here lately between me having the flu and several other factors we've just been having a hard time and seeing our families was just what we needed to make us feel a little better!

We decided last minute to leave on Friday so I hurried around all day trying to get us ready and we headed out as soon as Adam got off work. Traffic wasn't terrible and we made it home just in time to have dinner with my parents, everything really fell into place for this trip. Saturday morning we got up and headed to Kroger for an Easter Egg hunt with all the cousins.

Headed off to find more Easter Eggs

He was pretty good at finding the Easter Eggs

Cousin Emily and Jackson were on the 2 and under ale together

After the Easter Egg Hunt was over we headed over to the Glaze's house for Travis's Football themed Birthday Party.

I think Jackson is trying to push Emily out of the car

Hiding under the table eating his cake pop

We had a lot of fun at the Birthday Party but I wish I would have at least gotten some pictures of the Birthday Boy! Jackson and Emily are only 2 months apart and they are so cute playing together! Jackson had a blast running around the back yard watching all the big kids play. Later that night we had Easter dinner with my family and then headed to Brenham to see the Hueske Family.

We had a lot of fun hanging out in the country driving around the golf cart and Jackson loves running around out there. We also went to Cowboy Church on Sunday for Easter and had a big Easter dinner after. We had a great time with the Hueske Family and a wonderful Easter! Here are some pictures from our visit...

If you can't tell we had an absolute blast with our families and I am so happy we went home and had some good quality time with them!  I hope everyone had as wonderful of an Easter as we did!
