10 Months Old You Say, No Way!

Today Jackson is ten months old, just two months shy of a year!! We have started planning his first birthday and I can't believe it's close enough to be doing that! Whew, what a month it has been, Jackson keeps us on our toes these days. He got FOUR teeth this month all coming in at the same time and that was pretty tough but we got through it! He shows me everyday a new thing that needs to be childproofed, he is into EVERYTHING! He can pull up on anything and is starting to get good at walking behind his walker. I still think he has a little while before he takes his first steps, he needs more balance for that. He is starting to be a bit of a picky eater these days and isn't loving the pureed food I've been making, he is more interested in finger foods he can feed himself. He loves being a copycat and is starting to say more and more words. He plows over anything and everything, he is our little bulldozer. It's been a great month watching him grow and we are excited to have our little man here for the Holidays this year! We love you Jackson Floyd! Here is his likes and dislikes for the month...

It's hard to believe that the Holidays are upon us but Jackson and I have already started celebrating. We had a potluck Thanksgiving with the Stroller Strides ladies and last night we went to the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with friends in Grapevine.

Jackson & I at the Thanksgiving Potluck, Stacy hosted and they live in a real log cabin, pretty cool!

They had fireworks, Jackson was scared and excited, he hung on tight to Dad

We are excited to head home tomorrow to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families! Here are some more pictures of our little 10 month old...

Our little bear has a cold, I got some rare cuddles today, so sweet!

This kid loves mum mums

Happy Birthday Adam!!

Adam is an amazing husband, father, son and friend, I don't know anyone that doesn't love Adam! He can make friends with just about anyone and is always getting us into random conversations with strangers, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad. He loves to joke and be sarcastic and if I'm not careful even I can sometimes fall for his silly made up stories. I've watched him grow from the young sweet college boy I first fell in love with to my loving husband and now an amazing father to our wonderful son Jack! I could not have found a better husband and I thank God everyday that I get the privilege to be his wife! If you know Adam, you know he has a very kind and loving heart and cares deeply for the people he loves. Happy Birthday Baby, I am so happy I get to celebrate another birthday with you and here is to many many more in the future! Just for kicks i'll add some all time great photos of the birthday boy...

He was such a cute kid and don't worry he is not afraid to tell you that!

Strong Man!

Really great dancer!

I'm telling you the man loves to dance!

Sticking your head out the window is a lot of fun!

We can both be pretty goofy, life is rarely serious around these parts!

He sure does love his son!

You can see why I love him so much now right, life is never dull with Adam by your side!

Alright enough of the mushy stuff here is how we have celebrated Adam's Birthday so far. Jack and I snuck out of the house while Adam was in the shower and got him some breakfast from Chickfila. We all had breakfast together as a family and then Adam opened his cards and gifts from everyone. Later, Jack insisted we get Dad a balloon so we headed out to find the perfect one...

He was very excited about the balloon he picked out!

Balloons are amazing to watch!!

Unfortunately, as balloons sometimes do, this one popped or got a not so dramatic hole in it and deflated but luckily Adam got to see it for a little bit when he came home for lunch. We also managed to get a few pictures of Jack and Dad with the balloon before its slow death.

Jackson seriously loved this balloon, I am so sad it didn't last longer, I believe all he needs for his birthday are a couple balloons

Jackson also got Adam this cool mug and we gave him birthday coffee in it this morning

Everyone will know who this mug belongs to

Tonight we are headed out to eat as a family and for dessert Adam has requested Molten Chocolate Lava Cake. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM!!!! Today I'll leave you with a picture of the birthday boy and Jackson, it's an old one but it's one of my favortie...

Mommy Friends

I have to start with a note that I wrote this post on Monday but after coming down with a terrible stomach bug didn't get a chance to finish it until today.

I've decided that having Mom friends is one of the best things a new Mom can do for herself. Yes staying at home can be hard and there are some days I'm struggling to get by but then there are days like today where I hang out with some amazing women and really good friends. There are definitely some perks to being a stay at home Mom. Instead of reporting to work everyday from 8-5, I report to my little man and yes my day is never done but at least it gets to be filled with hugs and kisses, lunches and play dates and nap times where I get a break. Most days I really love my job and feel so lucky I get to have it! Here are some pictures of the fun Jack and I have been having lately. I always steal these pictures from my friend Chelsea because I can always count on her to take the best pictures at our play dates!

We planned on making Christmas trees instead we ran around with the kids and got nothing done, but it was a blast and I love hanging out with these girls

Logan and Jackson, they were nothing but trouble shutting themselves in bed rooms and flirting with the girls

The group minus Kimba, Jackson really loves Parker and Hattie!

Logan and Jack loved looking at the dogs

I've also been doing a bible study with these girls on Tuesday nights and it has been amazing, such a blessing to have friends like them!

Jackson & I went to Vinny's 1st Birthday Party while Dad was on his fishing trip!

We've kind of had a rough week with me being sick and Jackson is getting four teeth, which has been a nightmare but we are on the up and up! Today is my wonderful husband's Birthday and we are all feeling pretty good today and ready to celebrate!! I'll write a post soon about Adam's Birthday. Today I will leave you with a picture of The Birthday Boy's awesome fish he caught on his Birthday Fishing Trip, maybe I can get Adam to do his own post on that so you can hear all about it!

Jackson's First Halloween

I think Jackson had a pretty good first Halloween, as good as it can be when you can't eat candy and your bed time is 7:30. We started the day with a Stroller Strides Halloween Party and he got to see all his friends dressed up in their costumes. That night we took a lot of pictures in the yard and then took a wagon ride to visit some of the neighbors so they could see his costume. We got back home just in time to hand out candy and then it was time for bed. I think it was the perfect Halloween for a 9 month old and we had the cutest shark you have ever seen! Here are some pictures from the night...

Shark!!!!

He used to be the best picture taker always giving me the perfect smile, now he is way too busy!

I love his fin!!

We met a new neighbor from down the street and he took some great family pictures!

Ready to go show off our adorable shark!

Handing out candy with Dad

We hope everyone else had a wonderful Halloween!!!
