One Month Old!

Today our sweet little boy turns one month old. Time is really flying by with Jackson in the house keeping us busy. We may not be getting much sleep and our life has gotten a whole lot more complicated but we wouldn't change a minute. We are enjoying our nights in as a family and occasionally we venture out of the house but Jackson has slept through all his adventures so far. We can't wait to see what this next month holds and how you grow!

The Many Visitors of Jackson

During our stay in the hospital and after we came home from the hospital Jackson was a very popular little man with lots of visitors wanting to come by and meet the little man. I thought I would do a post focused on all the wonderful people that have stopped by to meet him. Everyone at the hospital got to meet Jackson the night he was born but because he was born so late and the circumstances surrounding his birth no one got to hold the little guy until the next day.

The first visitor to arrive to meet her new Grandson, Honey

Hobby was also very excited to meet his newest grandson

Just a little background information of my parents grandparent names, they let the first grandchild pick out their names and Honey and Hobby were the names picked by our wonderful niece Katy. She was going for Poppy with my Dad but couldn't pronounce her P's yet so it came out as Hobby and my Dad loved it so he highly encouraged her to keep calling him that. My mom got her name because my Dad always calls her honey an Katy picked up on that and started calling her honey and we all thought it was funny so we highly encouraged it, so that is how that got their odd but wonderful grandparent names.

Next up was Great Grandpa Pop, I love this picture, Jackson has his eyes open and that was a pretty rare thing to catch in the hospital, he was a very sleepy guy! He must of known he was meeting the man he was named after so he needed to really check this guy out!

Great Grandma, Nanny so excited to finally meet him!

Grammy finally meeting her first grandchild, she couldn't wait for you to arrive!

Aunt Abigail, she could hardly wait to meet Jackson and was so excited he had finally arrived!

Papa Joe or Papa  hasn't been decided yet we may just have to let Jackson decide one day

Aunt Heather & Uncle Josh & Cousin Katy & Travis

Cousin Emily came too but she slept through the visit just like Jackson, I think they will get along only 2 months apart and if you think Jackson has a lot of hair look at her she was born with just about that much!

Trigger couldn't visit at the hospital but he was super excited to meet Jackson when we came home!

Mike & Katy came to visit at the hospital and when we got home, they brought us some yummy dessert!

So in case there was any question I think these picture show just how loved our little man is!! He still has so many people that can't wait to meet him! Jackson Floyd Hueske you came into this world so loved and with a lot of people that care so much about you, your life will always be filled with lots love and if you ever need a reminder just look at the pictures and you will find all the people that care so much about you!

Jackson also made a trip up to the office but his Mommy didn't take any pictures of the people he got to visit with there but we did get one picture of his Uncle Blake teaching him how to be a landman...

We hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend, it was a rainy weekend here so we spent most of our time inside cuddling, Jackson did a lot of this..

New Beginnings

It's been a while since I blogged but I figured it was finally time to bring the blogging back since we have welcomed into the world someone that a lot of people want to know about!

Our family welcomed it's newest member to world, Jackson Floyd Hueske, January 20, 2012 at 10:22 pm and life will never be the same!!

I guess I should start at the beginning of this story on January 19, 2012, 2 days past my due date I was checked into labor and delivery to begin the induction process, I had high blood pressure so it was time to get this little man out! We called all our family and told them it was finally time for us to meet our little man and they would start the process around 4:00 the next morning. I was sure that we would meet our son by lunch the next day but boy was I wrong and I started one of the most challenging but amazing adventures I will ever experience in my life!

Checked into Labor and Delivery and getting ready to meet our son

The next morning they woke us up around 3:00 am to start the induction process. Our families all begin to arrive excited to meet the little man we had been anticipating for so long! Things weren't moving along very quickly but  around 9:00 am my body finally decided it was time to get this boy out and my water broke and I started making progress! I got my epidural shortly after and throughout the day I was slowly making progress. Around 7:00 I finally starting pushing but this boy was just as stubborn as I had predicted and was not willing to come out, he had his head facing up and after 2 1/2 hours of pushing the doctor finally decided he was not going to turn and I was going to need a c-section to get him out. I was very nervous but all I wanted was for him to get here safely and if a c-section was the way for that to happen then that is what we were going to do and at 10:22 pm I heard the most amazing sound in the world, the sound of our son finally making his appearance into the world!! His cry was the most amazing thing I have ever heard in my life!

And that's it that is how we welcomed our son into the world, it was nothing like we expected but it was the most amazing day of our lives and life has been perfect ever since, we are a very happy little family!

Four days later we were finally sent home from the hospital...

Ready to finally go home!

Headed home!

Finally made it home and our house was decorated by Uncle Blake & Aunt Emily!!

Big Thanks to Grammy for helping us make it through the first week!!

Big Thanks to Honey for helping us make it through the second week!!

Now Jackson is almost 1 month old, I can't believe it was a month ago today that we were checking into the hospital, time is really flying by!! Jackson is growing fast and each day brings on a new adventure but I am loving being a mom and I know Adam is loving being a Dad!! I will try to keep this blog updated from now on so you can follow along with the adventures of Adam & I learning how to be parents to the most wonderful little boy in the world!! Celebrating 26 Years of a Wonderful Man!!

As usually things have been very busy around the Hueske Household. We started off with a weekend in Bowie and perfect weather for sitting around the fire at night. The next weekend Emily & I headed off to Dallas for Halloween while the boys headed to Bowie. Emily & I had a lot of fun we stayed with a co-worker, Desmond and we dressed up as 80's girls. I think we did pretty good with our costumes crimped hair and all. Adam & I stayed at home on Sunday night to hand out candy to Trick or Treaters and almost ran out of candy we had so many!

My sister, Heather and our niece, Katy and nephew, Travis came to stay with us for a week while their Daddy was hunting in Colorado. We had a lot of fun with them that week and even made a trip to Chuck E. Cheese's which was a lot of fun playing games and Katy got quite a few prizes from all the tickets we won.

Watching Baseball, Travis loved to watch Baseball!

Adam & I carved Pumpkins and I think they turned out pretty good! Adam's was the scary Pumpkin and mine was the nice Pumpkin. I always love this time of year as the weather starts to change and the Holidays start to begin, it's my favorite time of year.

They say the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach well if that is the case I have won my man's heart. Yesterday I decided it was going to be Adam's Birthday Day with Melissa so I came up with a few surprises through out the day. It started with Rosa's for lunch because Adam loves Mexican food and Rosa's but to go along with it I made him homemade salsa and guacamole. Then I made Adam cookies because that is his absolute favorite and every year when I ask him what desert he wants it's always cookies. Then we had jambalaya for dinner and I finished the night off with yummy chocolate melting inside cake (not the official name but best way to describe it) with a candle in one and a Birthday song from me.

 The yummy cake!

Today is my wonderful Husband's actually Birthday and we will be celebrating at BJ's Brewhouse with a couple friends for dinner. I have managed to save one gift for him to actually open on his birthday (I already gave him his big gift) so we will open that gift after dinner. I'm so happy to be his wife and he makes me so happy so I hope I can make this the most wonderful Birthday ever!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM!!! YOU ARE THE MOST WONDERFUL MAN IN THE WORLD!!!
