Since I didn't take any pictures of the Crawfish Boil this year I thought I would post a picture I have of last years crawfish boil. We participated in making 1800 jello shots for the crawfish boil on Thursday night and surprisingly all of them were gone by the end of the crawfish boil (not all by the Kuba crew of course). We had a lot of fun and it's always nice to see people from the crew that we don't usually get to hang out with.

After the crawfish boil Adam and the boys left for Jacksonville to ride four wheelers. Adam bought the fireman pants for going mudding, they make me laugh!! I think they boys had fun at the bachelor party but Adam was defiantly exhausted by the time he got home on Sunday.

This weekend it's the girls turn to get a little wild!! Katie's bachelorette party is this Friday and we will be taking over Blake's apartment in downtown Fort Worth. Blake is being kicked out of his house for the night. Should be a lot of fun and I will try and do a good job and take pictures!! Hope everyone has a great week!!

Well as you can see by all the pictures we had a very busy busy weekend!! It started on Thursday for me when I headed down to College Station to meet Travis and spend some time with all the Glaze's. I had a really wonderful time hanging out with all the Glaze's and was so glad that I had a chance to do that. As usual when me and my sister get together there are always some silly times with us getting ourselves into trouble!! Travis was such a precious little boy and I loved holding him and letting him sleep on me!! Katy & I had a lot of fun and we even had our own little adventure to U Paint It and made her mommy a mother's day present.

On Friday I headed to Brenham to meet up with everyone for the rehearsal for Josh & Lindsey's Wedding. It was a wonderful wedding weekend and I think everyone had a lot of fun. Unfortunately the outside wedding turned into an inside wedding because of the constant down pour that happened on Friday and Saturday but it was still a very pretty wedding and we really did need the rain. The picture of Adam with the very large glass boot is a picture of what Josh gave to all his groomsmen. It was pretty funny watching all the guys wonder around with their boots and also watching everyone try to learn the trick of how to drink the boot.

On Sunday afternoon Adam & I decided that we should reward ourselves for the hard work of getting taxes paid and being able to save all the money!! So we decided it was finally time for us to purchase a Wii!! We really love it and have been playing it all night long! Adam and I are both pretty sore I think from the boxing it really gets to you. I'd say of all the viedo games out there this is the best one because it really does give you a work out when you play!!

Another busy busy weekend coming up, Friday is the Barnett Shale Crawfish Boil which is always a great time!! Then Adam heads off to Mike's bachelor party of four wheel riding. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!

Easter & Birthday

As you can see I had a lot of fun decorating the table for the first holiday ever to take place at my house!! I made everyone an Easter egg place setting with their name on it and I also made chicks and bunnies out of Easter eggs to go in the middle of the table. Everyone also had a Easter basket with all their favorite candy. Unfortunately the only pictures I took this weekend were of the table so I'm a little sad about that. We had a very wonderful Easter dinner and with the help of Emily more than enough food for everyone. Emily also got the boys Nerf guns for their Easter baskets so that kept them distracted most of the time.

On Saturday we all headed to the Melting Pot for my birthday dinner celebration. We got to the restaurant at 6:00 and didn't leave till around 9:00. It was a very cool place but you have to have plenty of time to eat there because it takes forever. You start out with the cheese fondue one of ours was really good and one was not so good but that's alright I just ate the good one and it was more than enough. Next you get salad which is pretty boring no fondue involved. Then you get your meat and a dipping sauce and you cook all your meat in the dipping sauce, which was a pretty cool experience. Last the dessert yummy yummy chocolate one of ours was called Cookies 'n Cream Marshmallow dream which he actually set on fire at one point to get it ready pretty cool and they bring lots and lots of yummy things to dip into the chocolate. Needless to say by the time we finished dinner we were all very very full!! I had a really wonderful time having everyone come out for my birthday and I'm so glad Adam planned that for me and everyone came!!

On Monday for my actually birthday just Adam & I went out for dinner. He took me to Ruth's Chris Steak House and they even had birthday confetti on the table. It was so so so delicious words can't describe how wonderful our steak and shrimp were but they were and I'm so glad Adam decided to take me there. It was our first visit there but it defiantly won't be our last Adam already said he wants to go to his birthday dinner there. Adam also gave me my birthday presents, shoes I have been wanting and a very pretty watch. Thanks to everyone else who sent and gave me cards, you are all so wonderful and make me feel very special!! Most of all thanks to the best husband in the world for making my birthday weekend so very special!!

I'm headed to College Station tomorrow to finally meet Travis and take Katy on some special adventures I have planned. Adam is going to meet me down there on Friday because this weekend Josh and Lindsey are getting married!! Adam is a groomsmen so we have lots of wedding activities this weekend. I will defiantly try to take more pictures this weekend so I have some to post. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

I know it's been a very long time since I last posted anything so I thought it was time I catch everyone up on the Hueske Happenings. Our life has been very busy the past couple weeks and I just haven't had time, I'm very sorry Blake.

Well since I last posted we went to Bryson's Lake house again with Blake, Katie, and Mike. We had a really great weekend and caught lots of fish!!

The next weekend we had a fish fry so that we could eat all the fish we caught. That was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed eating everything we caught.

Also I'm no longer working at my job. I'm sad that I had to quit after looking for a job for so long but it was the best thing for me. I had kids punching, hitting, and scratching me so after one of them made me bleed I decided it was time to go. I'm just not cut out to work with that many three year old. So I'm back to looking for another job but at least I have learned that day care is not for me.

Travis was born on March 29 at 9:12 p.m. he weighs 8lbs. 5oz. and was 20 inches long. I wish I could have been there but I was sick and also I had to work so I haven't gotten a chance to meet him yet. Mom, Dad, Katy, and Travis are all doing very well and I'm told he is a very good baby and doesn't cry very much. I plan on making a trip down there sometime next week to spend some time with everyone.

We have a big weekend coming up, Adam has planned a birthday party for me on Saturday. We are going to the Melting Pot in Southlake and I'm really excited about that. Also Emily & I are cooking Easter dinner and having people over at our house. I've made Easter baskets for everyone and It should be a lot of fun!

It's been a very excited week in the Hueske household!! Yesterday I finally got the call and I officially have a job at KinderCare. I will be a preschool teacher for 3 year olds. I went in last week and spent about 30 minutes with my class and they are a really great group. I start on Monday and I'm super excited to finally have a teaching job!!

Another exciting note, Adam got his boat to work!! After about a year of just sitting at the apartments he works at Adam decided to get his boat back in working order. He spent most of Saturday cleaning it out and getting it ready. On Sunday Blake and Adam took it out to the lake and it actually worked!! Adam was very excited because he really didn't think it was going to work but it did!! So the boys spent Sunday out on the lake fishing. Adam is now obsessed with his boat and constantly wants to go out on the boat.

Meanwhile, Emily and I were left behind and had to find other things to occupy our time. So we headed off to target. My plan was to get stuff for our Easter baskets and also I really wanted to decorate eggs. We got awesome Easter baskets for the boys and lots of stuff to fill them up!! We also got stuff for egg decorating and confetti cake, which we were super excited about!! So we headed back and spent the rest of the afternoon making confetti cake and decorating Easter eggs. We both felt a little bit like kids again but it was great and the confetti cake was so good.

I think we are headed back to Bryson's Lake house this weekend to enjoy this beautiful weather. Any day now Travis is going to grace us with his presence and I can't wait to meet him!! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

We had a very busy weekend but we had a lot of fun with everyone! It started with Katy's 3rd Birthday Party on Saturday. She had a blast and she got lots and lots of princess stuff. That cute pink outfit she is wearing in the picture with me is one of the outfits that Adam and I got for her. I tend to get a little carried away when it comes to buying stuff for Katy but I just can't help myself she is so fun to spoil!! I'm afraid I won't be able to spoil her as much now that we have Travis and another niece or nephew on the way. We saw a picture of Ben and Allison's baby, doesn't quite look like a baby yet but it's still exciting. I believe their due date has now been officially set for October 10.

Next we headed off to the race track to watch my Father-in-law race his car in Willis. It was the first time for Adam and I to get a chance to see him race. It was pretty interesting to watch and we had a lot of fun. We got to watch him in the practice run but then in the next race a car wrecked him out. It was sad but the guys couldn't get the car fixed so he didn't get to race in the final race. We still had a lot of fun and I'm sure we will get another chance sometime to see him race again.

Overall our weekend was packed and by the time we got home we were both exhausted and day light savings time really didn't help with that but we had a lot of fun seeing everyone! Next time we head home it will probably just be me and that will be when Travis is born, which will be any time now! That's all I've got for now hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Mr. Fix It

Our TV broke a couple of months ago when the power went out. We were very upset because it's a 42" Plasma that we bought from Cousin Blake. Well Adam took it apart and found what he thought to be the problem. He finally ordered the part and it worked!! We were both very excited to have our big TV back and we put the 32" in bedroom which is where we planned on it being. I'm just so happy that I have a husband that can fix stuff!! I would never even been able to figure out how to take the TV apart much less figure out what is wrong with the TV. There are lot of reason why I love Adam but one of them is how handy he is around the house, I think he can pretty much fix anything if he puts his mind to it.

On another note my interview with KinderCare has been changed to Tuesday so the update on how that goes will be a little later.

Adam & I tried out this new restaurant down the street from us called Chef Point Cafe and it's delicious. It's in a rundown looking gas station with bars on the window so you would never expect it to be good. Some of Adam's co-workers talked about how wonderful this place is so Adam and I decided to try it out last Sunday. Apparently the Chef is from some 5 star restaurant in New York and he moved here and opened this restaurant. Whatever the case is we are glad he came because I think this is our new favorite restaurant.

That's about all that is happening in the Hueske household. We can't wait to see everyone this weekend when we come home!!
