Moo, Baa, Oink - Jackson's First Birthday Party

We decided to have Jackson's First Birthday Party in Brenham at Adam's parents house. All of our family lives close to Brenham so instead of having everyone travel up here we thought this would be easier. We cleared out the garage and turned it into the perfect farm yard bash. The weather was perfect for January so after lunch was over we opened up the garage and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We had lots of food, lots of family and lots of fun! I think Jackson's First Birthday Party was perfect and we are very thankful to all our family and friends that came out to celebrate with us! Here are some pictures from the party...

Whew, that was a lot of pictures but I had to add them all to share the wonderful story of the party! I can't believe that our boy has already had his 1st Birthday Party! Fredericksburg - 5th Anniversary Trip

This past weekend Adam & I celebrated our 5th Anniversary of marriage, so hard to believe it's already been 5 years! We've had an amazing 5 years full of fun and adventures and I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful man! This past year has been pretty exciting experiencing our first year as parents, it's hard to believe that we have almost made it through the first year. It's been quite the ride so far and I can't wait to see what the next years have in store for us.

We decided to make this Anniversary extra special and planned a little getaway to Fredericksburg. We figured 5 years of marriage and surviving the first year as parents earned us a nice relaxing weekend just the two of us. We dropped Jackson off with his grandparents and headed to our cozy B&B the Hoffman Haus. It was a wonderful trip and we enjoyed sleeping in late and relaxing, the perfect way to celebrate 5 wonderful years! Here are some pictures from out trip...

We had a very wonderful weekend away but we did miss our boys and we were happy to be reunited with them Monday afternoon!! Here are some pictures of what Jackson was up to while we were away...

We are so thankful and grateful to have our parents to watch Jackson so we could have our weekend away! I think that the grandparents had fun watching our little man!

In less than a week our little man will be having his 1st Birthday Party and turning one!! I can't believe it went by so quick and I can't wait to celebrate with our family and friends!! Today I'll leave you with a picture of our snowy surprise this morning...

Jackson's First Haircut

We finally did it, we finally got rid of Jackson's famous old man comb over. I swear that boy was born with a very full head of hair and it looked like he had highlights but as time went on his hair slowly began to thin. Here is a picture in case you need a reminder...

1. Look at all the hair! 2. Oh my gosh where did my baby go??

Most people were shocked we were going to cut Jackson's signature hair but the boy had to have a hair cut before his 1st Birthday Party!! So we set off to Pigtails and Crewcuts and we got him a haircut, finally! Jackson did really well and seemed to enjoy his hair cut for the most part! Here are some pictures from our adventure...

This and That and A Happy New Year!

We had a great New Years out in Bowie, it was Jackson's first time to visit. It's been a tradition for a while now to ring in the New Year out in Bowie and although it was a little different this year having Jackson around it was a wonderful time. It's always nice to get away from the city and be out in the country with a big camp fire on a cold winter night. We shot guns, went on four wheeler rides, went on walks, set off fireworks, played some charades and did a lot of relaxing. It was the perfect little get away and I think Jackson was meant to be a country boy just like his Daddy!

We had such a wonderful holiday season and I am sad that it is already over, always goes by way too fast! Adam went back to work today and I am trying hard to get back in the groove of things around here. Here are some pictures of what we did over the break...

It was such a fun break filled with lots of fun with our friends and family! We have so much going on this month it's going to be busy busy!! Adam and I will be celebrating our 5th Anniversary and we are headed to Fredericksburg for a weekend getaway and of course we also have Jackson's 1st Birthday!!! I'm so excited for both of these and I've been having a lot of fun planning Jackson's Party. I'll leave with a couple more pictures...
